I'm in a 'damn and blast' situation here. I have just taken delivery of a second had compressor to relace my inop one.
As the one I received had literally been cut out of its donor vehicle it still had all of the pipework attached and whilst removing the air inlet pipe I've broken the clip that locks the pipe into the valve (the one you have to push in to remove the pipe). Don't ask how I managed this, but lets just say it was down to none too clear instructions.
Now, before I weep, is there anyway of either:
a. Removing the entire union fitting and replacing it with the one currently on my disco, or....
b. Removing the clip from my old unit and transferring it to the new one
Or should I just resign myself to the fact I'm going to have to get a new one
Need help on this asap I'm afraid.
