Another question from the husband...it would appear that the battery is under the passenger seat, yes you all say, but...our passenger seat is bolted down, is this a problem?

They are replacement seats look like bucket seats,there is a seat in the middle,nt think to check under that one.

In that case, you may have to unbolt them. Standard seats the bases just clip in, and remove by lifting. Battery is accessed under passenger seat, handbrake cable and reverse switch under the centre.

Normal or better than usual on 90 that age.

You can take it apart and bodge it up with welds or plates and rivets, probably keep it going for years.
Or if you want to spend the money you can get another.

Much better, the rear chassis leg is clearly visible.
Appears more or less sound, but there is some surface rust, could badly use a scrape and paint, or waxoyl etc according to preference.

Go over doubtful areas on the chassis with a small hammer, it should make a clean ring or knock, if it is a dull thud, structure will be weakened.
