Well, I've had her done and she looks OK. The chassis was in remarkably good condition...is there any truth that the military ones are made from heavier steel?

I need to get underneath and double check everything carefully as I did spot a couple of areas where the coating was a bit thin but it's basically OK. They didn't do the rear crossmember face as the Dinitrol would make a mess of clothes etc forever, but I did sort it with some Buzzweld CIO in a rattle can. Absolutely fantastic stuff.

So yes, that is an original 1986 110 chassis with the original crossmember...got to be happy with that!
