Hi ppl

Im currently doing a college project on a engine hoist for the rover k series engine. I covered rover, mg, lotus and cathram. then though damm it the freelander.

Im looking for some information as i dont know anyone that owns a freelander. I need to know the height of the bonnet and the distance from the from of the car to the engine?

Be very greatful for any info on this or ppl that have used hoist on the freelander in the past to remove the k series.

Kind Regards

Scotty:)

Hi

here are the measurements,

Height from floor to edge of engine bay - 1m
distance from front bumper to middle of engine block - 0.9 m
height from engine block to bonnet - 0.6m

hope this helps.

Prefect dude, just one thing is that from the top of the block or the bottom?

The height is from the top of the block to the bonnet, thought it might be usefull, so that you can see how much room there is, oh and by top of block I mean the distance from the plastic cover to the bonnet.

The distance bumper to middle of block was measured from the top of the engine so its the minimum horizontal distance you have to work with.

Oh and sorry if there is random formatting, I'm writing this on my blackberry, :)

Thanks matt...
