presumably its been in a while ,bearing doesnt look siezed ,carrier looks fine just fork is broken .slippers cant come off unless fork breaks ,not common but i have seen it before, some vary in quality

slipper pads?

bearing not siezed, a little lumpy but is mis-shaped due to the fork hitting it, i think..

thanks... so hopefully new thrust bearing and jobs a good un...

i'll have a look at cluch cover tmoz..

are grooves in fingers a bad thing?

how much grooving is bad?

slipper pads are the lozenge shaped bits ,yes groove matters as will give uneven surface for new bearing to run on ,and eventually groove cut fingers to the point bearing goes through them ,anything more than slight id change it

cheers james and everyone else for advice... will have a look tmos and looks like new clutch... plate, cover and bearing...

local place wants £120 for kit.. that sound reasonable?
