Good Evening All,

It's a minor fault, but Bl**dy annoying.

I have a 110 200TDI CSW and I keep having to reset clock when ever I switch lights on and I tend to run all the time on side lights(want to be noticed) so very frustrating.

Clock doesn't light up so presume bulb blown? Tried switching over black and purple wires, nothing happens.

Any Electric Experts out there HELP!!!!

Many thanks

Jonah

When you are travelling at the speed of light time appears to stand still. This is a common experience when driving a land rover.

Sounds like a dodgy earth on the clock. If it's the analogue type it may earth through the frame of the clock. I guess the clock is earthing via the headlights/dash lights circuit. Whhen you apply power it can't do this anymore. And hence why the light is not working either.

Make sure the clock bod is making good contact with the frame and Rhys it's earth is food.

attach earth wire from clock case to nearest earth point behind dash (don't rely upon the clamping bracket)

Agreed. Put cable from under thumb screew on back of clock to any original black cable which should be the earth, or bolt it to the body somewhere.

Bizzare! Iv litrally just fitted a clock to me dash and its doing the same! Nice one new earth it is, Cheers! :D

Thanks for replys and advice. Should have time to do tomorrow so will let you know how it goes.

All the BREAST!

"IT'S ALIVE!!"

My clock works with the lights on and lights up. It's all mod cons in my Deafener now.

As suggested, moved the bullet connector for earth into another earth connector and hey presto a working clock when the lights are on and it's brill at night can see what time it is.

Thanks to all.

Jonah
