Hi, have looked through loads if threads but I cannot find out how to clear the 'alarm triggered' message, there's nothing wrong with the alarm just happened whilst reconnecting negative lead, cheers.

No way to clear it that I know other than maybe checking the alarm system...the Passive sensors have been known to fail causing false alarm activations!

If your fob is working stick in the ignition turn the key and do as it asks press button or enter eka code

Thanks, I'll try the eka code tomorrow, the car still starts and drives fine not disabled or locked out.

Then you don't need to put the EKA code in....

EKA is Immobiliser system only and has notjing to do with Alarm or the Alarm triggered message AFAIK

Does the car have a BBUS sounder? If it does, disconnecting the battery the wrong way will trigger the alarm. Maybe the batteries in the BBUS unit are duff or flat so it has been triggered but not sounded. If battery is disconnected incorrectly it should go off. You must slacken but not remove negative terminal. Switch ignition on and off then disconnect negative lead within 17 seconds. If it has a BBUS unit. Try doing this and see what you get.

PS. Alarm sounder is in gap between battery box and fuse box. Klaxon has two wire plug. BBUS four wire plug. Make sure it is connected and the terminals are clean. It is not unknown for people to disconnect the BBUS unit because they set it off by not knowing battery disconnection routine.

Legend, all cleared now many thanks, didn't work the first time then loosened the clamp a bit more and unplugged the alarm unit to see how many pins it had, plugged it bk in, put the clamp back on and all sorted.
