A while back, I had a rush of blood to the head and I t cut the old girl. She came up quite well considering the paint is over 30 years old, but I spilled some on the wheel arch extensions and detergent doesn't shift it. What will remove the white marks?

They are the original 1985 matt rubber extensions. I guess t cut is wax based, maybe hot water will shift it.

When black plastic bumpers were fitted to cars you used to be able to get a colouring /paint you put it on with a cloth rubbing it on like wax brought the bumpers up nice almost new, back to black I think it was called. Used it on a ford orion once made the bumpers look good.
cheers Ian

Thanks guys. I do have some "back to black " type stuff, but the extensions have a matt finish, maybe it's just their age!

forgive me for being sceptical - really? I'll give it a go tomorrow. Can't help thinking Jeremy Beadle will jump out at some stage...

Well, Beadle didn't appear, although one of the neighbours gave me a funny look. And it worked like a charm - thanks all. Don't forget to clean the jar before putting it back in the fridge!
