Hi, I have a bit of a chirpy vibration sound when braking, it's not really loud, it seems as though it's coming from the passenger footwell.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I know! How about I tell you what the car is ( for some reason I thought it would come up in the bit about me, new to these forums).

Can you feel a pulsing through the pedal when you brake? Does this happen on good tarmac or just on slippery surfaces?

Hi Thebiglad,

Thanks for the reply. The noise occurs during quite heavy braking on smooth tarmac, I dont get a wobble through the pedal though.

Have you checked the condition of your brake pads recently?

The short answer would be no! Is this a symptom of low pads? I am not getting the metal to metal rumble.

It seems the noise is related to the heater fan (the noise does not happen when the fan is off).

So I think it's got something to do with all the interior moving about under braking. I will have to start banging bits in the area!

Id check ya pads first, then head to the discs, could be warped.. if they are both fine then brake lines and anything in that area that could be loose.
