yeh, that's with a real light foot. No heavy acceleration.
One thing I think does not help is that it seems to hold the lower gears when cold - maybe the first couple of miles. Guess the 'box needs to heat up first. Seems OK after that.
Synergy 2e set on 7 for the Pierburgh MAF and low torque. Wonder if 8 or 9 would help?
The box certainly holds the lowers gears right enough for a mile or so - but just wait until the really cold weather sets in.
I found that it was short journeys that wrecked mpg figures.
When I was doing a 2 X 5 miles commute to work, fuel consumption was terrible - around 24mpg.
With my current 2 X 35 miles daily journey it's up around 34mpg - but that includes queues and traffic lights etc.
On a longer 200 + mile trip it's 40 or better depending how much of a hurry I'm in.
