hi i have a 2001 td5 auto with 95000 onthe clock. i have this metalic chinking noise this is not very loud you can only hear it wiith the window open. it happens only when i pull away or when i am just about to stop. anyone any ideas? many thanks,

check your front propshaft U joints . if there not looking bad but if you see any rusty stains on or near the Ujs then there bad .

Do you have diff guard fitted? I had the same, turns out the diff gaurd was hitting the diff!!!
