Evening all I just thought I would post a few pictures of my rust. I was pleasantly suprised when I stripped it out. My sills and mounts need doing ripped everything up my suprise was hardly any rust :D:D:D.

The only things that need doing is a patch in my rear arch where there is daylight and a small bit the edge of the boot floor. So I'm here to gloat ha.

I've just seen a whole lot worse on another forum members car - but don't be too smug until you've taken the sill covers off.

I know I have left them on for now but they are getting changed so I don't mind just happy with the rest of it.

pic on post 5 has already had a repair looking at the paint line.
see how good a job's been done when you start cleaning it all up.

I believe it has already had a new floor in as the paint is a different colour all round. It just looks like a shoddy repair it feels a bit bubbly but quite solid still ill see what happens when I clean it all out properly.

Well my smugness has not lasted long at all. Got some hex bits so I can dismantle the rear seats took all the plastic off then it started. My small hole has now grown into a rather large one I'm not happy:mad::mad2::mad2:.

Then looked at the other arch after dismantling that thought its not too bad a bit of bubbling but I can cope.

Then I poked and a bit moved and this came out. Looks like someone has bodied it will filler and wire gauze so left a great hole on this side.

This is the hole I now have.

So I have both sills then both rear wheel arches and that's all I can find.....for now anyway:violent::violent:

Can someone remind me as why the hell do we do these for these cars that just keep falling to pieces no matter how we treat them. I will update next week when I get in the process of welding it.

Well I have done a bit of gas welding but that was seeing if I could get a few plates together I was crap a that. I'm hoping I can learn as you say great skill when owning a landy ;)

i'm doing the same with mine at the moment! have thought many o time to jack it in and break it! she'll be a good-un after all the work is done! just oil leaks to sort then!

Same with mine rowlesy I have got leaks as well, but it is a landy and I think all of them have a little leak. I'm lucky enough I don't have a sunroof so once less thing to stop leaking :)
