had a few codes come up on the diagnostics related to cam sensor and vanos auctuator on bank2. I've ordered 2 new cam sensors and will change the solenoid if it still comes up. No engine light on so cannot be bad. I've just spotted on eBay a couple of solenoids new for £31.32. Just wondering if anyone has had these cheap and worked fine. I suppose it's like the old britpart question

You have just answered your own question!! In my experience anything for a Range Rover that looks cheap is and lasts 2 mins. Buy original parts and at least you have a guarantee with them when they go wrong 2 months down the line.

You can clean them out I suggest a large can.of brake cleaner fill them up a few times leave them to soak clean again you will be surprised at how much crap comes out, they will be good as new. Done it on my mates car during the epic m62 rebuild
