Afternoon Chaps

Just thought I would share a little gem I found - Land Rover Parts and Spares Direct - does not have a catalogue and you have to know the part number (order a free cat from Rimmers!! and use that for alot of stuff) just discovered it and its been cheaper from 50%-10% on the stuff I have checked against Rimmers and Paddocks. Plus free delivery on alot.

Good find if I do say so myself.

Cheers

I've bought a few parts and accessories from them - the last item being a rear door latch assembly which became faulty after a few months. Not blaming the company for that but when it comes to warranty they won't make a quick decision once they have the returned part in their hands, it has to go to there supplier for consideration which in my case took ages.

Whereas I sent Rimmers an email saying that the interior mirror I bought from them appeared (after a couple of months) to have something wrong allowing the glass to vibrate excessively. Almost instant reply with a replacement in the post and they didn't want the original back.

pretty sure that's against consumer law.. doesn't matter what their supplier says.. your contract is with them.

i use lrdirect, not had to return anything yet though

I use them quite a bit, more because they give you the option of which brand to buy on their website, so if it must be pattern, I can chose not bluebox...

Might be different if they are drop shipping, which a lot of these retailers are doing.

Used them quite a bit before, but they have stopped doing collections and will only post, so will now just shop around more. Found a place near where my mum lives called Total Parts. They seem to be reasonably priced (for the things I've ordered anyway) Anyone used them before?

Just rang them now as I wanted to add more stuff to an order I did yesterday.. Guy added an option on the website to "add to existing order" there and then.. :)

Yip, a few times and no problems, that said used most online people and never had any problems

Used totalparts for most of the front hub bits when I rebuilt them, very friendly and helpful guy who dealt with me and the parts all good (bearmach)

I've used them quite a lot. Like the option to choose the manufacturer. However got a faulty wabco vacuum pump from them. Took over 6 weeks and numerous phone calls and emails to get a refund... Hmmm

Used them for pretty much everything on my rebuild. They offer trade membership for £25, which then entitles you to a 5% discount on all orders. Saved me a small fortune, so definitely worth considering if you're planning to order a lot of parts from them.

I used to use them a lot until they let me down badly. It's only when you have to use customer services that you find out how good these places are. I found them to be sadly lacking - which was a shame, but I don't like being screwed over.
