Hey guys,
I am about to buy some 16x7 black challenger wheels for my defender 90 2009 and i wanted to ask if anyone has experience with these, my question is what goes in the gap in the middle as on the older pre puma defender part of the axle fits into this hole and covers it but i am not sure what it is like on the puma defenders as i dont really want there to be a big hole just in the middle and dont think you can buy covers for it but i may be wrong?
heres the link to the wheels

any help would be amazing ,thanks,
Louis

Challenger wheels are steel but your link is to VBS Encore (which in turn look to be a copy of the ZU and of course the whole lot are Mach5 lookalikes).
As above, there is no centre cover and they are designed to show the drive-flange.
Over the years I have seen several attempts to cover the drive flange, usually using domed covers (like stumpy hub-caps) but they all look awful and you are better off having the drive-flange on show (as it should be).

Back in the 70's one of our fellow Caravan Club members fitted chrome hub-caps to the steel wheels of his S11 SWB, from then on he was known as Hubcap Harry.
Not a good look on a Limestone S11 SWB Hardtop.

As the VBS Encore looks so much like the ZU this made me look into whether the ZU was still available.
It is and while more expensive is rated at 1400KG against the 1200KG of the VBS.

These are my ZU's (long gone now) showing how the drive-flange is visible.
A great tough wheel.
