Can anyone tell me which part i need to get the central locking on my drivers door working again.

Common problem with D2s, the part u need is a door lock.

Thanks for the info guys, wasn't sure whether it was just the central locking actuator of the full door lock i need but its sounds like its the full door latch mechanism, just found one on the bay for 65 quid so will try that.

Did they cure the D1 broken spring problem on the D2 then?

Spring problem on a D2 whats that? D2 have a different lock with two integral actuators so no spring issues only 'actuator issues which requires a replacement lock.

I did see a tread somewhere on the repair of a D2 lock, it's very complex so best of luck with that option.

So broken springs are a problem on the D1 not on the D2 which is what I was trying to say, thanks for that.

I did guess that Don't fit the RRC/D1 style of lock is the best cure

I've never had a spring problem but had to "service" a boot door 'actuator to get it working again on my disco a few years back.
