Spins lovely in the base when the tops cover is not on. To My mind it sounds like it is hitting on the inside of the top cover as it sins, but I cannot see any tell tale signs of impact.
I am going to put the old one back on today and see how that sounds.
Could be just the bronze bearing taking off the rough edges. I had a genuine landrover one which made a similar noise. Noise went away after a few miles.

Took a few hundred miles for the new replacement which was from the same supplier and was quieter than the one featured in the video above( the noisy one above I removed after running for only a mile or two as the noise was terrible, still got it in the spares box ..LOL ) to get as quiet as the old one. Now it is whisper quiet on the rundown.
Update all fixed...bought some longer bolts pulled out filter and placed it back in...and gently tightened them up on both sides...topped up with oil added a Nut to the suspected dodgy side...went for a test drive gave it beans and all is good and no noise
