Ive broken diffs and replaced them in the middle of no where. Ive broken a cv that locked the wheel and steering miles from anywhere on a green lane and over 200 miles from home. although i didnt have the spares to fix it i had to remove the cv and drive shaft in order to get to a main road for green flag recovery something that wouldnt have been posible without the correct tools, if i had a cv with me we could have carried on with the trip in the same time taken.
It does help to keep your landy well maintained but sooner or later something will give up that cant be forseen.
All my equipment is stored in specific boxs and i have 2 full length alley shelves above the floor in the back so everything has its own place, the shelves are easily removed and the entire contents removed if and when i need to use the 4 rear seats, in which case i wouldnt require the equiptment.
Always expect the unexpected
