and its still waiting :) :D

Well, I think I did fit it within a week. It's a bit too noisy otherwise. On another occasion I drove about for a couple of days with no floor panels and no transmission tunnel panel..... now that was really noisy. On re-assembling it all, I fitted the transmission tunnel panel after the footwell panels (originally the footwell panels were fitted after the tunnel one meaning that I had to take them out before removing the tunnel one).

I wana know how you are all fitting this stuff in , anyone using just the back off a discovery ?
I have subs which are quite big and take up alot off space think i might have to reorganise all this some how :/

It's good to have a pair of boots in the back. I was in my Series III once when one of my rear axle halfshafts broke. I had just driven up a hill and was about to stop at the crossroads at the top when it happened. I put the handbrake on and started to get out of the vehicle, but it began to roll backwards, luckily no other vehicle behind me. I quickly applied the foot brake and engaged first gear... then remembered that I had been driving with the freewheel hubs disengaged. There was no way of holding the Landy there apart from the footbrake, so I could not get out to re-engage the hubs. I had to call a passer-by to put something under one of the back wheels and all I had in the back of the Landy was my size 9 toe-tectors. The back door was not locked so, the guy was able to reach in and grab them. I was able to get out then and put the hubs back into drive, and drove home.

I removed the drivers side dickie seat and built my 2 12s in there. Going to build.a ghost floor.to place tools and remove other.dickie.to put a storage unit in.

Got any pics pal ? Where you put the amp?

Not atm putting all my kit back in over weekend as had it up for swaps so will get some when back in. Built the box to fit on side with amp screwed to side towards front of vehicle, means you have to pull it all out to get at amp should really have ventilation but not over heated yet.

See this is a perfect example of what im talkin about. Is this your only day to day vehicle in the household.im guessing not..because where does your shopping go, where do your childrens instruments go on lesson day at school, where do your children's mates sit when you have to give them a lift ....how do you manage the rest of life while you have a boot full like this ??

LOL 110, my Defender would be useless for a day to day vehicle anyway, it only has two seats and the back is full of useful stuff for the horses as well as to keep it running :D:D:D

I cant help but giggle at this thread, i'm not taking the mick out of you all for carrying all this stuff, i mean yep it is probably all needed, or actually it is needed!

I carry oils, rad weld, a tool kit, tow chain a AA card. and one major important thing, baler twine to hold the thing together if need be.

But my point for giggling, it really is a love/hate relationship at times isn't it?
Is their any other car's etc that has owners that carry spares the same or is LR unique to this sort of thing?

Only spares I had for my bmw where grills (different colours) spare winter wheels diff and rear shafts. Only put diff and shafts in when I took it out drifting she never let me down though.
