To specifically answer your question i would say this:
It is a Pioneer RS-D7RII Optical Digital CD Tuner.
You can pick then up for as littles as £1300.00 at present. You would then need better speakers, amps, subs, etc.

I've got an Alpine in my 110. Better than the radio/cassette factory fit, but not so Hi-Fi (expensive) that it wasted in an Defender.
