can someone please help, ive come to get in my 4.0 rangie after it being stood for 6 weeks and nothing happens ie does not unlock ive tried the eka and i cannot get in the car wont open on fob or key, please help !!!!

sounds like the battery has gone dead, try the coat hanger technic down the door to the latch, once opended recharge the battery. or even better get the rac or aa out.

I believe one trick is, as the battery is flat, connect a jump battery across the starter motor terminal and chassis to allow volts across the electrical system and then try again.

Others will confirm.

yeah ive heard of the above in previous listings. so you now have 3 ways of getting in the car.

it should still open with the key,shouldnt it ?,i had this problem a while back ,in the end i removed the rear quarter glass in the back door ,the fault was the rod had come off the door latch on the drivers door.

use the starter motor trick, once in don't lock until you have opened the bonnet.

if you can get it to the car manually then unlock all the doors manually and close all windowes and bonnett, put the key in the drivers door and turn to lock position four times, lights on the dash should flicker, then enter the eka code.
if lights on dash do not flicker then the micro switch in the drivers door could require replacing,
i have had this problem and found that the battery also required charging as there was not enough power to enter the eka code
i hope this helps, if you try this today i wil be back on the forum toinght so please let me know,
