Ok then a 10,000 LB super winch is 98LBS so may be 90LBS for the bumper so about 200LBS + - 20LBS. I would measure, then fit the stuff and remeasure, take it for a ride and see how you like it and how this handle. Might even add horse box and go for a ride and do a comparison to see if it to your liking. Nothing worse than adding something you didn't need, plus the money time thing:rolleyes:

OK, good idea, I will get the bumper fitted first.

Just a bit bored today, trying not to write a report , and thought I might go Landy shopping online.

Still interested in these medium duty ones though, seems like a good compromise. Cant seem to find them though.

I'll bet you it is ;)

No I won't cos yer a welcher :p

some refer to them as police suspension/springs spec

Standard 90 rear springs are factory fitment on the front of all 130's, as well as 110's with factory fitted HD suspension.

I fitted an ARB bumper, Warn M10000 winch, and a Southdown steering guard to the front of my 110 -

Before I fitted them, I measured the height of the front wheelarches and, measured the height again, after I'd fitted them - the height went down by approx. 1"

I fitted Genuine 90 rear springs to the front, which brought the body height back up by 1"

They've been on it for almost 20 years, and haven't sagged or gone soft (unlike me :()

Genuine HD springs are -

NRC9448 - driver's side

NRC9449 - passenger's side

This is how they compare -

Standard 90 front springs

Driver's side - NRC9446 - 175lb/in - 15.186" free length

Passenger's side - NRC9447 - 175lb/in - 14.8" free length

Standard 110 front springs

Driver's side - NRC8044 - 210lb/in - 15.13" free length

Passenger's side - NRC8045 - 210lb/in - 14.49" free length

Standard 130/110HD front springs

Driver's side - NRC9448 - 225lb/in - 15.306" free length

Passenger's side - NRC9449 - 225lb/in - 14.8" free length

Is it just me that finds the ride on HD springs comfy or is this cos you lot is all old and crippled

Nope I find it fine aswell, I have hd springs. It clatters over small bumps a bit when the landy is empty but they come into their own when its laden.

OK, I dont need the technical detail but I need to buy some HD springs for my Landy. Gemsdad gave me some links to those, so thats sorted.

It now seems I need other bits to fit with them.

This is because I am fitting a winch bumper which is very heavy and after that a winch.

Can someone let me have a list of what I need please. And links to them if you are feeling very kind so I can do some shopping.

Its a 200tdi Defender 90 which is standard at the moment.

you may also need new turrets and fitting rings dependant on condition of yours.
