I've seen 72,000m OR 6 years quoted. Although there should be no appreciable wear from use on the belt the idea is that it also weakens with age, unavoidable contamination etc. I calculate that just going on mileage you should change the belt in about 260 years, but if I were you I wouldn't wait quite that long
Sorry,You are right. I just looked on Autodata, it is 72,000 miles or 6 Years.
I though it was 50,000 as I changed mine last year and it still has only covered 64,000 miles but I changed them as it is a 51 plate.
I am advised that the 6 year figure is important even if mileage is under. This info is from an outfit that specialises in Rover V6's.
Suggest you consider water pump change at same time as belt.
