New to the Land Rover scene, so bear with me if this is an obvious 1. I've been the proud owner of a Series 3 since, um Monday, and b'jesus its cold. Just wondering if theres an obvious aftermarket fix to help get some heat into the cabin? Petrol can and a match doesnt count as advise!!

Cheers folks

radiator muff ! sounds silly but makes hell of a difference on me diesel. Gets hot quicker and runs hotter if all covered up..

The heater in my series III works really well - I think it's because I have an electric cooling fan instead of the engine driven one. Make sure the thermostat for the engine is working properly.

Do you need more heat in, or to stop the heat escaping. Mine gets lovely and warm if I leave it ticking over (for long enough) but all the heat disappears once I go over about 20 mph.
Probably need to tackle both.
First thing, is there any air, hot or cold, blowing out of the heater. If not, look behind the LH wing. There is a fan unit next to the wing, whilst the heater is on the bulkhead. They should be connected by a big U shaped tube, make sure it is in good condition, and firmly fixed each end. It can be a right sod to get at, but if it isn't blowing air into the heater to start with, you'll never get it warm.

I had to remove the heater matrix in mine to fit the Diahatsu TD lump, turbo sits where the matrix should be.....

I find after a while im so cold I dont feel cold.....
