So, time has come to renew the insurance on 3 of my vehicles, all currently with A/F. Given some forum members experience i had no desire to be with A/F, no matter of the cost.
So...
My 2014 110 Utility XS - ideally i wanted to be with the NFU for this, i've never heard a bad word said against them and like their approach (local branches, real people, etc.) - already cheaper than A/F and I haven't even told A/F about my minor bump recently. So, NFU are getting the business there! (price might go down further since i've now told them about my tracker too! )
Now, for the Series and Spitfire, sadly the NFU weren't even close to being competitive on either of them, however, there is a lady called Lenna Marsh on the Just Defender and Series Facebook Group who works for Herritage Insurance - so I spoke to her, they couldn't offer me much in the way of insurance for the 110, but, have come back with great prices for the Series and the Spitfire - again, cheaper than A/F, more inclusive policy, lower excess, all modifcations declared, Green Lane and Off-Road cover included.
so, not 100% what i wanted ( I wanted a Fleet type policy, so, just one policy for all 3 vehicles) but - that was unlikely to ever work as the 110 is owned by my company and the other two by me, so, all in all, i'm happy with what i've been offered, just waiting for the details to come through so i can check the small print, but, hopefully by 2015 i will be A/F free
