Make your mind up, you want a 8274 or a red winch ??:D

Hydraulic would be nice.. but tooo eggspensive.

I've been tol I can't paint the 110 bright Fiat Brava or Saab Yellow. nor Focus ST electric Orange. So the winch is gonna be the bright thing on the landy

If you want a cheapy, then the best one from what I have heard are Warrior / Champion winches. If you have the little extra though I would go for a superwinch. But obviously the best will always be Warn, but you do pay the warn price :|

An 8274 would be just the job but I can't spend £1500 on it, also I don't know anything about repairing winches so didn't want to buy a used one incase I buy crap. I'll keep looking. Ta for advice. Am I correct in assuming most winches are made in china and are simply rebranded for each retailer?

I'll take a superwinch over a warn any day of the week. Most of the warns we've had on our trucks have packed up within 18 months.
