A late (post 2000) P38 diesel is a good bet, the V8 is prone to engine problems. If you go for an early L322, make sure the recalls have been done and that the gearbox is OK. The gearbox is notoriously weak. Door release mechanisms fail, steering column reach mechs fail, water gets into the rear nearside and screws the sat nav etc. Plenty of odd electronic failures. Much more expensive to fix than the P38, for example an airspring for the P38 around £60, for the L322 £380.

With the financial state of the UK/Europe especially with the cost of fuel in the uk, why leave a country that seems to be far better off than us very poor poms...hell...I'd consider swapping, you can even have my P38...

We are going to be granparents in uk. lived in oz for 7 years And it is a lovely place to live. Although it is very expensive to live here for example there is just two of us and grocery shopping is around $200-250 a week and we don't have expensive taste.
Well back to car would be looking for something like this
