I have brought some new radius and trailing arms... and they did not come with any bushes "so I can fit my own choice of bush" which I feel is a bit of a cop out!!!

The old radius and trailing arms, already have up-rated polybushes in before I brought the vehicle at least 3 years+ the front lugs where there is a single nut (the two nearest the centre of the vehicle) are fine came away no problems ready to be fitted with new arms.

The Trailing arms one bush and the Radius Arms two that are on the axles are wedged in the arms.. is there an easy way to get them out without damaging them to re-use them or is that impossible? Have tried some persuasion with chisel and hammer no joy.

Many thanks in advance

Ben

If they are poly bushes then the centre steel tube should push out (or knock out) then the bush itself should lever out in two halves.

Dont reuse em. Does busters guide not have how to remove bushes?cutting em is an option.

if they are standard bushes you could drill out the rubber and then cut the metal casing with a hacksaw. Then use a small chisel to peel one side. Had to do mine that way.
Wouldn't reuse bushes once they are out unless quite new.

poly bushes are cheap enough to replace but if you are going to all the trouble of new parts for trailing arm etc. wouldnt it be a good idea to replace them with new bushes too?
