the lugs secure the tv damper, basically a big heavy ass peice of metal cut into a round shape that takes out the torsional vibrations of the crankshaft.. or thats what i read online

Yeah thanks for the advice im gonna buy that one.. You can really see the heat damage on the oppsite side of the pulley to the lugs
 
Ok so new pulley is due tuseday, also the front crank oilseal.. Is there anything I should know before replacing this oilseal that isent in the haynes manual??

Also when i come to refill the radiator and intercooler etc with coolent.. Is there a particular way i should do this? or just keep filling up the resovoir??

Have a look at the RAVE cd if you haven't already, it's invaluable combined with the haynes manual. RAVE tells you all the detail, but mentions special tools from time to time. Haynes tells you how to do things without the tools - as a pair, top notch!
