Hi there, i have a series 3 88' which i have been restoring over the past year. Just replaced all the brake shoes, adjusters and snail cams but they have decided to start locking up when trying to push it back into the garage (rolls forwards fine and hubs roate freely with wheels and brake drums removed). I have tried adjusting the cams, tested different spring positions, checked the leading and trailing shoes (appear to both be the same) checked the hand brakes not locking, that its not stuck in gear or 4wd and im still stumped! Any advice would be helpfully as my mot is next week...Thanks

The rear shoe is catching, thanks for the reply. Anyway to solve this or do they just need some driving around and heavy breaking to set them in...?/ is that safe to do :)

File a chamfer on the leading and tail ends of the shoes.....I always do whether I have a problem or not

Sounds daft but are the shoes on the right way round, Found mine wouldn't sit right and found a write up showing the correct fitment.
