Hi Guys first day on the site been doing the brakes on denis and got bored trying on my own now thought id have a go at the vast knowledge of you other landy owners. Here we go then brake peddal after time goes to the floor with the red light coming on. Before you sat its the master cylinder ive put a new one on then i put new flex pipes then new callipers this was after the obviouse bleeding and replacing shoes and pads . any ideas guys as i dont want to start doing things like the servo or the vacum pump without being sure so if you know a way of testing these can you let me know as i just want to get back to actually using the dam thing. looks like a good site though Helllllpppppp:mad: :mad: :mad:
 
don't think its the servo cause if it goes the pedal would be rock hard if I remember wrightly. I would think air getting in or not bled out proparly also the rear cylinders are most likley place, they could be weeping slightly giving you the prob as described

What about the slave cylinder did you replace that at the same time as the master?

aye its just that i dint know there was a slave cylinder on the brakes, kinell, 20 years as a time served mechanic(not a fookin technician) and i still aint too old ter be edjumacated

Aye .... he's in the business all right .... just keep throwing new bits at it and one day the problem will be solved ... and the customer pays for it all.

In the olden days we used a process called "intelligent diagnosis".

Some of us still have that disease .... it's incurable, and catching, but unfortunately some people seem to be immune and will never catch it.

These immune people all seem to own garages and stealerships.

Funny that.

Sorry chaps, got the wrong end of the stick there. I thought for some reason the problem was with the clutch, obvously i should learn to read before i start to write!

which bit was it yer didnt read then master mechanic, was it the title of the thread or the bit where he said his brakes werent working. you stick to puttin yer oil additives in and we'll stick to the advice

Yeah i pretty much missed all of it yella, i wasn't paying attension. I dont use oil additives though.
 
how the fook can you reply to a thread that you didnt read and werent paying attention to, ffs, ive seen some back peddaling in my time but that just takes the biscuit
