Hi All
Need to get new discs and pads for my Hippo.
Local Land Rover Dealer has quoted £168 (inc vat) for discs and pads. I've seen these alot cheaper online.
I also need to replace the rear centre transmission mount, this was £22.99 which is still alot more than other suppliers but not loads of money so may well just get that.

What would you recommend on the brakes?
Cheers

There are many decent manufacturers of brake discs and pads. Even Britpart...
No need to get turned over by a dealer, but I'd go for a semi well-known brand considering that you'll be staking your life on the parts. Chinesium discs will be cheap, but would you??

I’ve been running Britpart discs and pads for four years (two sets on two cars) and have no complaints.

Get the decent mount.

We're running br*tpart G suffix discs ( OEM, supposedly ), and Mintex pads without issues - certainly make Mr Tapley move at MOT time ;)

Genuine mount is probably worth it, as above :)

Thanks loads, was thinking the aftermarket brakes would be fine and i've used mintex pads in the past, think that's where I'll put my money.
Mount for the price seems sensible to go for the originals.
Cheers

Make sure you do the One Wheel Up Test as a stiffening VCU is the normal cause of diff mount failure.
I've currently got Britpart discs and Delphi pads on mine.
