Evening all!

Well - bad news really, on Wednesday i got about 10 miles away from Home on my way to work - and the brakes did their usual trick of binding on!

I rang my Landy dealership, and asked one of their mechanics about it. He suggested that i might need a 5mm spacer between the servo and the bulk head to push the servo away from the pedal..... Apparently he has lots of landrovers that come in like this.
So - i put a spacer on, and since then (Touch wood) they have been better....

Although he did suggest that the one way valve may be about f*cked?

Anyhow -For now they are working ok.....

Also - In your opinion -

What winch - Warn 9000 or Superwinch 9000 ?

Cheers,

Josh

Well -
I have got Grizzly Claws (31.0 x 10.50) on it already, but in my mind, a winch is something that is extreemly useful if you are on your own and get badly stuck....not just for posers!

yea, then you've got to find something to hook up to, and there's never a convenient tree, so you have to buy a selection of ground anchors for different types of ground - have you ever tried using one when you're on your own?
Also, you've got to invest in a twin battery set-up - more expense.
Much better to watch where you're driving and avoid getting stuck - save yourself the best part of 2 grand.
I've only got stuck a couple of times and on neither occaasion would a winch have helped. Make friends with someone who owns a tractor!

Yer, i agree with you on some comments, but being a farmer myself, i think a winch would be really useful - If i'm trying to get out of a field with a trailer full of ewes (sheep), but get a bit bogged down, i want to be able to get myself out without having to try and get phone signal, then ring someone, get them to take a tractor off of an implement, and travel over to where the landrover is stuck to pull it out.
Not only is there a work side where i think a winch would be useful, but there is also a 'play' time where a winch would be useful! :)

I've already got 2 batteries (identicle) waiting to go in the landrover, so all i need to do is split the alternator connectors, and wire them in - no problem!

If you folks can go on most green lanes/ off roading courses and not get stuck - you aint trying hard enough!! :)

Happy Christmas!
