hello everyone, just a quick question about the replacement of a brake servo on a freelander 1.

do i have to remove the brake pipes from the master cylinder once it is unbolted from the servo, in order to gain access to pull the servo out, or can i get away without doing this?

the reason i ask is that i am visiting a friend away from home and have limited time and tools to complete the job. i have a new servo, and am aware of how to get it out/in, i just dont want to have to mess about bleeding the system - so if it is essential i will leave it a bit longer. seems my old servo has a bit of a vaccum leak.

never done it on a freelander but have managed it easy enough on other vehicles usually by unclipping pipes as much as possible

just to add i did this today with no problems, took a bit of wiggling in the engine bay and pulled the servo out towards the passenger side.
