Hi can someone please tell me how to bench bleed a new Brake master cylinder on a series 3 Landy Thanks !!
You would need to fit some bleed nipples to the outlets, top up reservoir , and while pressing the plunger open bleed nipple to allow air out then close nipple it allowing further air in. Holding it in a vice would help
Brilliant Steve a Great Help I will do Cheers I will report back with hopefully great progress .Bi TomGlad it helps Tom, id recommend bookmark the retroanaconda site for future it’s good having the manual to hand
With a new master it is good to put a little fluid in before operating it fully, just pump it some with short strokes until fluid comes out before connecting the outlet pipe. Going for a full stroke with a dry master can sometimes result in the piston sticking and the return spring not having enough oomph to push the piston back, pedal moves back and fore but the piston does not.
I think this is a common reason people have so much trouble bleeding a new system.
