Should the brake lights on an 02 auto be on when the car is in park (auto) and the engines running? I thought they should be but don't appear to be.

your brake lights will NOT be on when the car is in park. Strangely they only come on when the brake pedal is pressed.

Brake lights r to show people behind u that u r slowing down or stopping.I dont think u put the selector in park to slow down or stop,but i could be wrong as i dont drive an auto.
