It's at the top of the brake pedal.
Use a torch to look up into the footwell, you'll see it with the wires going to it. Unplug the wires then twist to release the switch.

Correct me if I'm wrong, the connector harness is basically to connect the two different plugs up? The one I've bought seems to have the correct harness connector to plug and play?
 
I believe that's all it does. Don't think it changes any pin positions.
Plug it in and see. If your brake lights work, it should be ok.
