I have a 1971 series 2a swb I need to replace front passenger side brakes cylinder, can I use brake cylinder from a 109 rear wheel? Thank you

Get a new one and in my opinion, go for the iron one, not aluminium. If you replace the fluid regularly then they don't gum up as much

When fitting fill the end cap with brake grease or vasaline, will keep them good for ages.

Thank you all for the advice. I will buy the right one, I got give 2 109 cylinders hoping they would work! Are these any good for the rear brakes?

as long as the rears are 10" brakes the rear 109 cylinders should fit the rear of any series from '86 wheelbase onwards iirc.

series rears won't fit series fronts

Do a web search for Smithies landrover and download the parts manuals in pdf form.NZ website.

I have a 1971 swb 2a....so I think from what you are saying. These 109 cylinders are no good for my truck?
