Well This one is a Mystery, We have sat there for a good couple of hours trying to figure out the problem, Ive had them on and off trying to tighten bolts evenly, got the drivers side to turn with about 2 to 3 mil gap, but other side is locking up solid.
By looking at it if the hubs would move outwards a few mil then there would be sufficient gap, which makes me wonder if I have left something out while I was rebuilding, but cant think what.
Anyway not sure weather to order solid discs and calipers just in case its something else.
Will try and call in to some landy places tomorrow if I'm passing to see if anyone knows.
Even the bloody dog is baffled I'm sure she can tell when I'm stressed out, think she was trying to help me. had to pull her chair over for her as she was trying to get on my knee when I was sitting on stool.:)
is disc sat central in caliper, both been slightly different is odd, have you measured caliper offset

I think so james the gap either side looks the same, where do I measure for the offset ?

Do you have comparison pics of either side from same angles?
Does anything look physical different, hub/caliper/spacer. May need measuring.

space between disc face and hub
Yes think I know what you mean. Im back home now but in this pic, it only catches on certain corners where wheel studs go through, for instance it could catch on number one, number to could go past free then catch again on number 3, if you know what I mean, so offset is probably out. On the drivers side it is only catching Very slightly on one corner.

Everything looks even both sides will have to measure tomorrow. But if anything is out, question is whats causing it

This might be stating the obvious, but try getting/borrowing another Caliper (used but known to be correct) to trial fit. Might then clarify if it’s the calipers or axle/hub build issue at the root of your challenge....

Well still no further forward. The PO can remember getting them from Britpart and they told him they were model correct, whatever that means.
Took some measurements to see if it might give someone an Idea, I was thinking that I could have possibly made a mistake when rebuilding the axle, but then everything looks to be all fitted and closed up right, axle is filled with diff oil and no leaks whatsoever.
All I can see now is that if the calipers were a touch narrower then the gap would be right. Does anyone know what size gap it should be ?
The distance from disc face to hub is exactly the same all round , both sides. don't suppose anyone has spare caliper handy to measure, width. as Im now thinking / well hoping that's its just wrong ones.
