Just been out to top up my screen wash bottle. From fully locked using fob, unlocked the car using fob, opened passenger door to open bonnet, filled washer bottle, closed bonnet and locked car using fob. Horn gave a single toot and then locked fine on second press.

Can this single toot be turned off using the Nanocom?

I believe that this is fairly normal, mine does it too. I even went to the expense of replacing the bonnet alarm switch. If I'm not mistaken, there is a delay between the bonnet being closed and the security system registering it.
Next time you open and close the bonnet, wait for about 30 seconds or a minute before you lock the car with the fob.

It's called misslock warning and you can disable it with nanocom but it's good to be enabled to know if a door was not closed well.... the bonnet switch has a certain delay from time to time but if you wait around 30 seconds or so after you closed the bonnet and lock then you'll get rid of that misslock warning ...unless the bonnet switch is fubar or the warning is triggered by the door switch cos then you'll get it all the time untill you fix things

If found that if you are in a hurry (and don’t want to wait the 30sec or wake up the street at 5am) then pop the key in the ignition and turn to position II and back again then lock. Seems to work for me.

Its not unusual that the bonnet switch is fu'bard, as they generally seem to get and stay wet, which rots it from the bottom up.

Mine always does that unless I either wait 30 seconds or so before locking or open & close one of the doors then lock which seems to reset it. As Fery says, mislock warning is the single pip from the horn.
