hi all
im quite new to the forum so unsure if this is the right place to post this question,just taken my defender 90 for the dreaded m-o-t, Failed, chassis knackered, so im takin` the plunge and doin a chassis swap, galv job, anyone know where i can get the replacemant nuts and bolts that im goin to have to replace, preferably stainless, do anyone make a replacement bolt kit????.

take a look at richard's chassis they should be able to point you in the right direction. failing that give LR orphanage a call as they know their stuff about restoring landy's and should be able to provide some assistance.

In addition to the cost you may experience galvanic action due to the dissimilar metals - where the stainless contacts the iron.

I'd recommend using a wax undercoating and then a wax coating on the studs and bolts during and after assembly.

agreed , would still use stainless tho, just a good coating of protection during assembly will be fine, i use screwfix or Tools Fasteners and Fixings : Fastfix Direct for stainless, prob not the cheapist but of high quality never the less, quite a job in all a complete change over, good luck

Don't use them on ya body mounts as i have been told by a very wise man;)
