Take the panel off & see if it’s still connected.

that's the "shield of invisibility" button so you are invisible to speed cameras on dual carriage ways ..
It's the vehicle fluid purge switch to initiate fluid leaks if none are present, or to sustain leaks if they are already up and running. (Covers both coolant , lubrication and also external to internal environmental moisture ingress)
nb it's unimportant which position is selected as it will work in either orientation.

It’s well random. I’m gonna have to see where the wiring lead to.As @marjon , whatever you do don't press it...it says 'NO' on the switch
