Started car blowin cold waited until temp gauge is in middle still blowing cold took cap off and revved car 2000rpm for a while got a little hot air then went back to cold,put cap back on rad hoses pressurising temp gauge going into red,see this ####in car

Pressurising rock hard or fairly firm??

I think an overhaul of your coolant system is needed...

The are hoses are hard full of air,could faulty water pump cause these problems

Yes, but it won't pump air.

I think your symptoms are pointing towards that. Check the matrix as i outlined, if it is clear water pump is a safe bet.
