Luvin this thread :D karenzabambino, you appear to be a disgrace to your stereotype, so let's try to fix this. However, what you need to do regarding your gearbox, is first of all check the oil level by pulling out the dipstick with the yellow top, if it has black oil (should be red) on it you have either taken out the wrong dipstick, or the oil is burnt and needs replaced. Put dipstick back in, then start the engine, put gear stick into D for drive. Make sure your foot is on the brake pedal (the big one) and handbrake on. Put gearstick back to P for park, turn off engine then check the ATF level again. If you can't see any oil on the dipstick you may have trouble. Get new oil & filter for the gearbox. If the box is fubared I have a 3 year old Volvo for sale.
