A bit rough is an understatement, how the hell did you manage that?

it wasn't lined up with the screw holes so twisted it round expecting the motor to turn
it didn't!!!

No it won't, have you seen how much reduction there is to the motor? You have more chance of lifting a Chieftain tank with a piece of 3" X 2" as a fulcrum and a straw as the lever. Someone may have a duffer i have three spares but they are all working units.

Yea didnt relise untill I opened to see if its repairable

You either have to motor them carefully, I use a 7 volt power supply or strip them and set to neutral by lining up the marks on the gears. In neutral the marks should all line up and the drives flat should be lined up across the long edge of the case nearest to it.

If you have it'll be a huge help! Realy dont fancy replacing the loom as its a dash off job

No it's not just radio surround and Hevac unit. You remove relevant wires from plug and replace with wires from new unit. In the right place of course. Bit fiddly you need a pointed probe to release the pins. Or cut an stagger joint the wires with solder and heat shrink.
