Now that Billing is not going to be used next year and the show is moving to Kelmarsh does anybody have an idea of how that will affect those who will be attending. Billing was so easy with the Premier inn on the door step. Or will it be better?

There is going to be a weekend on the onefollowing the LRO weekend at kelmarsh that there is a planned event at the offroad course at Billing.

Going to include camping, the two off road courses open form what I understand. See excerpt from an email I received.

Breaking news re the Billing Land Rover Show
The show will go on
For those of you that have not heard, Billing Aquadrome have announced that they will no longer host any vehicle shows after 2016, including the Billing Land Rover Show 2017. Although this is sad news and a shock to all whom have been involved with the show over the past 26 years, we would like to ensure you that this isn't the end of the Billing Show...

We will be hosting the 'Billing Off Road Show' on the 28th, 29th and 30th of July, 2017, on our farm.

Having built and managed the off road course and camping over the last 26 years, we feel that we know what you - the off roading enthusiast - would enjoy.

The weekend will be a fun, family event, with trade stands, activities, entertainment, beer tent and music. As usual, the famous Lakeside Course will be in operation run by our dedicated team of marshals. Additionally, the Riverside Course will be open to the public for the first time since Land Rover Experience drove it 10 years ago.

Together, we will be the only show in the country to offer long, deep water stretches, testing mud runs as well as steep and technical terrain to test your vehicle to the max.

Cheers

One has to wonder if the 4x4 site on the farm is still available, why did Live Promotions move the whole show to Kelmarsh instead of the Farm, using some of the land that will be used the following week

As I understand it.

Kelmarsh are going to build their own 4x4 course.

The Farm are going to run their off road courses and have some other show the following week,as per the excerpt from the email above. If they were being used for the LRO show then I doubt they would see the need to be open the week after tbh. Maybe the distance makes it prohibitive to travel between Kelmarsh and the farm ( approx 16 miles ) . Especially with mud covered vehicles.

Cheers

Hi there, I am part of the team that will be running the Billing Off Road Show 2017. My father created the off road course 26 years ago and we have been part of the Billing Show from the start, therefore we know what it takes to make a fun and interesting Show!

We will have two off road courses available to the public (one which hasn't been open to the public in over 10 years), live entertainment, full camping facilities and the usual trade stands / club displays.

Please visit our website and contact us if you have any questions:

Hello @Ed Arrowsmith ,

Sounds like it will be fun.

I am sure the Riverside course will have a few people holding on tight. I hope the weekend goes well for you as they are both really enjoyable drives.

Cheers

Hi @neilly

Thank you for your comments!

The riverside course hasn't been open to the public since Land Rover themselves used to have the course for their test driving so we are very excited!

We have been busy making it more testing than ever so fasten up and cross your fingers...

Cheers

Hi Ed
Ive all ready bought my tickets for 3 nights camping with our caravan towed by Discovery 3, If I wanted to bring my Defender to do the off road course, will I be able to get both vehicles onto the camping area without having to purchase another ticket?
Thanks

Disappointing to see that Billing is no more. Had some great times there! Kelmarsh could be interesting though!

The Billing Off Road Show now has over 70 trade stands, two off road courses, full camping facilities, live entertainment, demonstrations from Challenge South West, local beer and cider tent, club stands and children entertainment.

Would be great to see you all on the 28-30th July 2017
