trying to, got a busy week next week so might not get much done.
if i can get up to putting 2 coats of black on rear 1/4 chassis and axle, i'll be happy.
i noticed the mount point for the front end of the fuel tank is a bit thin, so might have to cut it out and weld a new bit on for that.
Mines shot mate. And underneath it. I think I'll use a but of thick angle that I can get from work if it fits the bill. I'd check engine it too. Have you noticed there's like hanger loops on the way it's attached? I think there are another rust trap. They do look like they have been made that way to take strain of the fuel weight though
They've both gone in all the same places! On another note, did you make some kind of arch liner when you did your arches or did you leave as metal? I'm waiting for a 30mm wrench to turn up at work for fulcrum. Once I can break that off I'm going to build me new axle in the lobby lol
Plan is to put trailing arm back on, remove A frame arms ..... HA !! And then it’ll give me a bit more room to get in there (coz I’m a fat git !!) and chop it off and replace. .... well, that’s the plan !!!
Chris, have you fitted your new trailing arm bushes? The ones I'm looking at buying don't look like they have the metal seats that go through? The big bushes with the triangle sandwiched between that go to the body ...
I got that spring hanger ordered. Been painting all week and itchy now yo get back on it. Got a whole week next week so hope it's dry. Just read green hornets thread which gave me a bit of inspiration
Yep, hoping for good weather too, I just want to give the rear 1/4 a second coat of black, and then it’s back to chopping and welding......it never seems to end, that’s why I fitted the one bump stop to cheer me up !!
