I would appear the big end bearings a on the way out on my D2.
At the moment it is speculation as engine is still in one piece.
The question is.....
1 new shells
2 recon / rebuilt engine

It's a 1999 and covered 127000
LPG

What are your experiences ?

Sump of, shells out, check condition of the crank.

My decision would be based on the result of that.

Don't assume anything.

Haven't heard many RV8's with knocking big ends. Maybe I've just been lucky. I would definitely double check though.
 
as above..if shells gone then fine out why!!ie fecked oil pump/blocked stainer??
