205/80 was a factory standard for 90's. The 110s do look a bit low with them. Standard 16" steel wheels will cope with both (opens can of worms), but nothing much wider.
Your 110 will benefit from 10% higher gearing with the larger tyres, and maybe even a better ride - tyre dependant of course.
Long wheel base Landies were equipped as standard with 7.50 x 16 tyres for decades, and they are not particularly wide. Unless you're planning on doing a lot of mud work, very wide tyres are not always a good idea.
