I think it would be better if it was fixed. I don't use it much, TBH. But a lot of people do.

I prefer to do a search for past problems as posting the same things over & over gets on my tits lol

also I thought about putting some plating on mine but I'm not sure I like it that much :confused:
 
I like the KISS principle, & less is more (and any other applicable cliche). Outwardly mine is pretty much stock apart from modulars and fatter tyres. Paint is original and a bit dodgy, slightly tatty all over, but solid underneath. It's already cool as fonk, who needs bling? :p

Chequer plate is mostly used to cover up wings that have patches of dissimilar metal corrosion. The wing and bonnet chequer plates are actually quite useful for standing on the wings for lifting things out of the engine bay. And for standing on the bonnet to pick fruit and similar jobs.

Fatter tyres! :( Big diameter, but thin, is usually better all round.
